About the company

NBC Environment was founded in 1993 by John Dickson with the support of the Princes Trust. In April 2022, US-based Rollins Inc acquired NBC Environment. The company has 30 years of experience and is a BPCA award winner for Innovation. It has worked on research and conservation projects with Bird Strike, Natural England, OPRED and the Scottish Natural Heritage. NBC Environment has operated in offshore, nuclear, rail, hospitals, housing associations and utilities environments.

Its clients include Tesco, the RAF, Thames Water, Edge Hill University and Savills. It serves utility companies, local government authorities, construction, highways, aviation, retail and warehouse outlets, and the leisure and tourism industries. The Liverpool team covers Merseyside and surrounding towns including St Helens, Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port and Runcorn.

It provides pest control for rats, mice, wasps, bed bugs, cockroaches, foxes, squirrels, seagulls and pigeons, and bird control using proofing and deterrent methods, including a falconer who flies a bird of prey. NBC Environment has worked with Liverpool and Everton FC, and won the contract to assist with the build of the new Everton Football ground. Craig Bickerstaffe is Contracts Manager for Liverpool and surrounding areas, having worked for NBC for nearly 9 years. George Kingsley is a Team Leader.

What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

NBC Environment carries out bird control work in Liverpool, and the feedback left by those who have used the service centres on the conduct and manner of the operative who attended. Gary Warhurst is named in the accounts, with customers describing him as professional and friendly while also approachable and easy to deal with. His early arrival is noted, and the work was reportedly handled without unnecessary complication, which those writing the accounts clearly valued.

The bird control service itself is the task that runs through the feedback, and there is a sense that customers appreciated a direct, efficient approach to addressing the infestation. One account takes a different view, describing a visit that felt brief and an operative who seemed unwilling to engage with the concerns raised and who left without explaining any findings. That experience sits alongside the positive reports and indicates that the manner of the individual attending can vary. The named operative and the bird control work remain the two points that recur most consistently across the accounts.

Had one of there guys round today, he was uninterested in anything I had to say about a possible infestation, he was disrepectful and unprofessional. He took a quick look around and left without informing me of his findings, if indeed he could have had any findings given the 5 mins he spent investigating. Didn't even say goodbye.
